Review:
A very nice little toolkit
This is a really nice little toolkit which was sent to me
for review. It's compact, good quality
and very good value.
The kit comes in a faux-leather wrap-around wallet with a
press-stud closer. It contains 24
detachable bits which fit into a comfortably sized handle with a rotatable
head. I'm not a professional phone
repairer, but I know good tools when I see them and this is good. It's solidly made, the bits are precisely
machined and fit well, and the whole thing has a good, durable air.
(To begin with I struggled to get the bits out of their
holders, but I discovered that the trick is to swing them up to just beyond
vertical and they come out simply enough.)
The only snag with this is that the bits aren't held into
the handle magnetically, so they can slide out when you hold the tool
vertically. It's not a big problem, but
can be a slight annoyance.
Overall, though, I'm impressed. At this price I was half expecting flimsy,
poor quality tools, but these are very good.
There's a huge range of bits and I'd expect them to last very well. If you need a little kit like this (I did!)
then this is well worth a look. It's
very good quality and currently costs under a fiver, which is excellent value. Warmly recommended.
